3G booklet. . .Explored so Far

So it’s been 3 days I’m using this net book and so far these are my findings. Keep in mind that these are limited to what I explored so far, there can be more there can be less.

• Superb battery life. This is for damn sure that the battery life will going last for hours if you do your regular routine work, however I have watched movies on this device and I have to say that the battery is magnificent. It lasted for 4-5 hours with movies playback and you can double the duration if you don’t use your net book for movies as well unlike me.

• Average Processor performance. Intel atom processor not quite the powerful but serves the purpose. You may find a few apps going a bit lag or might even jerk but that’s rarely and can be negligible.

• Keyboard is just brilliant to type. Very comfortable keys and soft. The distance between the keys is just so perfect that unlike other net books you don’t have to worry about your fingers pressing two keys.

• No lancard slot, can be advantage and disadvantage at the same time. For situations where wifi does not works and no lan card slot, what should you do? Apart from 3G service you don’t have any choice but it’s not easy to put your sim inside out every time you need to use the internet. While nokia kept the 3G booklet concept in mind and gave no lan slot is clearly justified, and the name 3G Booklet says it all. The advantage can only be that it makes it more sleek and slim unlike other net books.

• Does not get hot even when its idle and on. I’ve kept the device on for many hours with not running much and it was hardly lukewarm, I was really impressed by this thing and its silence. The max I’ve done so far on this device is watched a DVD and not just one but many, and the device worked brilliantly apart from getting warm but that’s obvious.

First impression with the Nokia 3G Booklet

First Impression.
They say black is the colour of my True love's hair; I say Black is the colour of my Nokia 3G Booklet! I have to say that this is one of the sleekest netbook. Might not be stylish enough as the Acer aspire one or hp miniseries but it has its own thing. Weight is pretty decent, in fact I guess the box of it is a bit heavier then the net book itself.
 Colour
The colour combination of black and white is quite nice but it could have been better if it would have been pure black but then again it might have affected the corporate looks that it posses with the black and white combination.
Weight
It’s absolutely perfect for a netbook and the good thing is even with the extended battery life, the weight is just a pleasure.

Packaging
The packed box was quite unique and one of a kind. A blue solid box which at times feels heavier then the net book itself. The net book slides out from the sides of the box and WOAALA. Pretty safe and decent.

NOKIA 3G Booklet. . . . Toy for a Big Boy . . . NEXT

here's the deal, This netbook has been there in the market for quite a while, and soon I'll be getting my hands on it, So what do I know so far? Its a 3G booklet, one main feature that I can plug my sim card in it.
This is 1 feature that differentiate it with others out there, But there are more. . . . . .

A Full Through in Depth Analysis will be NEXT!. . . .

Acer vs Hp vs Dell vs Compaq

When it comes to netbooks, many things are been traded off like performance, design, power but many are being acquired as in, convenience, portability, ease to buy, style and what not. My biggest interest in a netbook is the price it has to offer, its really impressive plus its almost giving you the subtitute of a laptop. Example, you can stay online, you can work on your office plus other small things. Now don't kid me around by saying that you cannot use photoshop on a netbook. Yes you can't because its an atom processor but not everyone wants to use photoshop.
The main purpose of a netbook is to provide you with convenience to be mobile on your way and so far it has been doing it pretty well. I've compared the four main brands of netbook available to us according to my knowledge. Acer, Hp, Dell and Compaq, but why not Vaio? Believe me people when it comes to price Sony Vaio has its own mindset. They charge for the name and not the machine.

Performance
Performance of a these netbook does not differ from each other with a big margin, they all carry atom processor, HD goes max to 250 GB, Ram goes max to 2GB. in my point of view I haven't experienced any difference in the performance of each of the following brands, so My ranks are:
1) Acer
2) Hp
3) Dell
4) Compaq
Why Acer on the top, because its the most compatible netbook I've seen so far with Linux plus windows OS. Following were the configurations of the netbooks I've experienced.
Ram 1GB
HD 160 GB
Intel Atom 1.6 GHz
10.1 '' LED SCREEN.

Style & Design
This is my favourite feature, a netbook should be stylish, should be sleek and shouldn't be dull. In terms of this I ranked:

1) Acer
2) Hp
3) Compaq
4) Dell

Price
The main event is Price. A netbook starts from 29000 PKR to 37000 PKR depending upon the configurations and I'm talking about HDD drives and not solid state.
Acer has the most Compelling and attractive prices in terms of style and design plus performance while compaq is the cheapest and Hp being uselessly expensive with only the brand name to offer with no difference in the performance however.

1) Acer
2) Compaq
3) Dell
4) Hp
